The SRF crew Jose and Marlo came on the first day at the designated time. They set all the post and prepped for the next day. On the morning of the second day in the blistering heat the worked hard and fast to finish the job. The end result is great and is exactly what we expected. Thank you SRF!+1Posted on Google

Edward Long48 days agoOur installation was approximately 180 linear feet of black aluminum fencing with three gates. Our on-site construction team was Jose’, Marcos, and Emmanuel, who did a fantastic job. The original layout didn’t look right when they went to install the fence, so they asked and because of that what would have become an awkward construction project turned out to be a beautiful fence line and tied in perfectly with our new pergola. We also decided to add a fourth gate, after completion, and they made it happen as though it was part of the original plan. We greatly appreciate the flexibility and personal attention that we received from the construction team. We would strongly recommend Southern Roots Fencing for all of your fencing needs.+1Posted on Google

Katie McCarthy328 days agoSouthern Roots Fencing did an absolutely fantastic job replacing my fence after it fell during a storm. I was amazed by how quickly they responded — they came out the very next day, even though it was a Saturday, to assess the damage and get the process started. That kind of responsiveness is rare and so appreciated during a stressful situation. Emanuel and Marcus were exceptional. Their work was incredibly detailed, consistent, and clearly done with pride. They worked efficiently, SRF communicated throughout the process, and the final result is sturdy, clean, and beautifully done. My yard looks better than it did before the storm. If you need reliable, high-quality fencing work, I highly recommend Southern Roots Fencing. Outstanding service from start to finish! P.S. Every neighbor who has passed by has complimented the fence! Looks incredible.Posted on Google

Cheyne Felter733 days agoFantastic work with great materials. We just had one side of the house replaced that blew down from the last storm and it looks so great. Replacing a pine fence with a cedar not only looks great but should last a long time. We have two other sides of the yard to do and will 100% have them come back out next year to work on the rest. Superb build quality and the team who knocked it out in a day.+1Posted on Google

Rk Mills758 days agoAlthough I had a bit of a wait due to all the storm damage from the recent hurricane, it was worth the wait to have these guys do my fence repair. Marlo and Javier worked until almost 10 PM using flashlights to finish replacing the posts for over 100 feet of cedar fencing due to an inferior job from the original fence company The next time I either need to have a fence repaired, or a new fence installed, it will definitely be using Southern Roots FencingPosted on Google

I have been a construction project manager for 20+ years and can be hard to please, I was floored and did not have one complaint! No corners were cut and the superior material is by far some of the best lumber around. Cameron and his team completed our privacy fence without disturbing any of our landscaping. The plants and mulch were all still intact along with our lighting (exactly how it was prior to the project). It was one of the cleanest and seamless jobs, I have ever seen. We had a delay on our side due to the HOA, but he knew all the requirements for our neighborhood. With all the recent wind damage and contractors you could pick from and the wide range of quotes, their pricing was very affordable. They outlined exactly what would be done and delivered above and beyond expectations. Especially when a second storm came through and took out the other side of our fencing. They take pride in their work and it shows. I would close with this, a lot of time what you expect is not what you get, but our expectations were exceeded.+2Posted on Google

Frequently Asked Questions
The cost of a fence depends upon several factors. The main determining factors consist of what type of fence material is selected, the style of fence being built, what type and how many gates are installed, and, of course, how many linear feet of fence is required. (Linear footage is calculated by measuring the perimeter of the area that the fence will be built on.) For privacy fences, pressure-treated pine is the most economical material choice.
Want to get a better idea of fence cost? Request a no-obligation, QUICK QUOTE. We can take a look at your provided information and give you a FREE QUOTE.
When your backyard backs up against your neighbor’s yard, you’ll want a privacy fence with a height that gives you the most privacy. Usually, this can be accomplished with a 6ft height. But we can do height transitions higher or lower than 6ft in order to give you more privacy or more view depending on your preference.
If your backyard does not back up against a neighbor, but to a green space or pond, our aluminum fence is a popular choice. Your yard may be perfect for a picket fence or a chain link fence if privacy is not a priority.
The land rights may vary in your area. So, it may be necessary to check with your local tax assessor’s office office. However, the ownership of an existing fence is typically the same owner of the land for which the fence is installed upon. We do not conduct any property surveys nor do we imply property lines. If there is an existing fence, you should check with your neighbors to be certain the fence is yours. When there is doubt, it may be necessary to hire a survey company to mark the property lines.
Our pine fencing products are pressure-treated to make them resistant to insects, rot, and damage. However, our cedar fencing is naturally resistant to insects, rot, and decay. Therefore, cedar fences do not usually require pressure treatment.
When fences are installed using pre-fabricated panels, fencing slopes and irregular ground levels can be difficult to properly fence. You will usually get large gaps at the bottom areas and uneven capping.
We do NOT use pre-fabricated fence panels. We build custom fences. Custom fences (or stick-built fences) allow us to better follow the lay-of-the-land (topography) and gives a much smoother transition. We can include custom transitions as an upgrade to your fence installation.
The turnaround time for fence installation depends on several factors such as type of fence, length of fence to be installed, and site conditions. Project time would also be affected by the removal of any existing fence if required. Usually, our installation takes 2 days here in the Houston, TX area. If we’re also removing an old fence, the total time may be 3 to 4 days. Please ask your sales representative for scheduling details.
Our team strives for complete customer satisfaction and we pride ourselves on our craftsmanship. That’s why every fence Southern Roots installs comes with a One-Year Craftsmanship warranty.
We’re located in Katy, Texas, but we install fences in the Houston, Sugar Land, and Waller areas. You can also see our complete service areas in the footer of our website.
